Is a one-bedroom houseboat private?

Yes. It’s exclusively for your group (ideal for a couple, small family, or 2–3 adults). No sharing with other guests.

How many people can stay in one bedroom?

Best for 2 guests (comfortable up to 3 with an extra bed). For 2 adults + 1 child, we add a floor mattress

Can we start at Kumarakom and end at Alleppey?

Yes.Subject to availability, and special rate is applicable

Until what time does the boat cruise?

By maritime government of Kerala rules, houseboats stop cruising around 5:30 pm

What about mosquitoes in backwaters?

We anchor in breezy zones; repellent & coils available. AC + closed windows help at night.

Can you do vegetarian/Jain/vegan or no-onion-no-garlic meals?

Yes,tell us at booking. We’ll plan a suitable menu and avoid cross-contamination where possible.

What if it rains or during monsoon—will the cruise still happen?

Yes, the boat has covered decks and cruises in normal rain. Severe weather or official advisories may alter routes/timings for safety.

How many crew members are on a 1-bedroom houseboat?

Typically 3 people: a captain,srank and chef.

Do the staff sleep onboard at night?

Yes. For overnight and multi-day trips, the crew stays onboard in a separate rest area to support you at any time.

What add-ons are available and what do they cost?

• Kayaking: ₹750 per person for 2 hours. • Shikkara boat: ₹1,000 per hour for up to 2 passengers. • Special seafood (pearl-spot, prawns, crab, etc.): charged extra as per size and market rate. Tip: Please pre-book add-ons. Availability depends on route and weather.

Are the crew licensed for safety and emergencies?

Yes. The captain holds a valid inland navigation/guard license from the Maritime Board, and the team follows standard safety protocols.
