Is 2 hours enough to see the backwaters?
Yes. In 2 hours you can see Punnamada Lake, village canals, and green paddy fields. It’s calm and relaxing. For smaller canals, add a 30–60 minute shikkara ride.
What’s the best time for photos/sunset?
4:00–6:00 pm is great for soft “golden hour” light. For stronger sunset colors, pick 5:00–7:00 pm
Where is the boarding point? Is parking available?
Boarding is at Finishing Point Jetty, Alleppey. After booking, we share a Google Pin. Paid public parking is available nearby. Our team will help you when you arrive.
Can seniors/children join? Are life jackets available?
Yes, families are welcome. We have life jackets for all ages and shaded seating. Tell us if anyone needs extra help to board.
What’s included and what’s not?
Included: Private houseboat, licensed captain and crew, fuel, welcome drink, bottled water.
Not included: Meals (unless added), weekend/festive surcharges, and GST. You can add tea & snacks, seafood, cake, or a shikkara combo.
Do we enter narrow canals? (shikkara add-on)
Houseboats are wide and move slowly in bigger canals. For very narrow village canals, add a shikkara—it’s smaller, quieter, and great for photos.
Can we bring snacks or a cake?
Yes, you can. We can also arrange snacks or a celebration cake if you ask. Please avoid confetti and glitter to keep the backwaters clean.
Is there a washroom on board?
Yes. Every boat has a clean, western-style washroom.
What if it rains?
Light rain is fine, and the lounge is covered. If the weather is unsafe, we will reschedule or refund as per our policy. Your safety comes first.
